IT’S NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH- EAT MINDFULLY

Plate It- Even your snacks at home and leftovers at work will be more pleasant if you
take a moment to make them look a little more presentable. Bring a plate and utensils to work with you.
Plant It- Have a seat at the table and enjoy!
Focus On Food- ‘Eating’ is a verb, it’s the activity. Tune into your meal and tune out of the phone, TV, and computer
Appreciate It- Take a moment to acknowledge the fact that you have food, the journey the food took to your plate,
or what it’s doing to nourish your body.
Plan It- Portion out your meals and snacks and then stick to them as opposed to grabbing food on a whim.
Healthy Distractions- If you are eating out of boredom instead of hunger try doing something else such as
brushing your teeth, painting your nails, or cleaning the house.
