HOLIDAY FIT TIPS- HOW MANY CAN YOU DO?


Participate in the THANKSGIVING TURKEY TROT and save $5 with discount code ‘belmontmember’!
Make a list of all the activities you’re thankful you can do, and get out and do them.
Pass along holiday treats you receive to others.
On your busiest days, workout first thing in the morning… no matter what!
Walk or ride your bike and count the houses with holiday decorations. Try a new route everyday.
Offer to bring a healthy plate to holiday functions- you’ll have less junk in the house & at least one good option at the party.
Create a new fitness habit such as walking the neighborhood before watching TV or walking if you get a break at work.
Park as far as you can when running holiday errands, skip the valet, and take the stairs whenever possible.
Wear clothes that fit properly and you’ll be less inclined to overindulge at parties you attend together.
At home, workout for a few minutes here and there to warm up as the house cools down.
Get your family to do outside activities with you at the end of the day and on weekends.
If you get a Christmas tree, go to a tree farm, chop it down, and drag it to the car!
Challenge yourself, a friend, or a coworker to choose the healthiest options at holiday parties.
Start your own fitness or health-related challenge at work from now until the New Year.
Use the crock-pot to have ready-made meals brewing at home when you’re short on time.
Collect Fall foliage from the park to make home decorations and to add as accents to your gift wrapping.

Each year we challenge you to continue working hard toward your fitness goals during the holiday season. We hope you’ll accept the challenge and not only maintain your current fitness level during this busy time of year, but even reach a new goal, hit a new milestone, or try something new! Rather than derailing all the progress you’ve been making at the gym, participate in our challenge and start the New Year off on the right foot rather than with a new health and fitness ‘to do’ list.
