NEW AT THE BELMONT

With the New Year comes new commitments to health & fitness. To accommodate you and your ever changing goals we strive to offer you the most cutting-edge classes, educated & innovative Personal Trainers, and specialty programs to help keep you fit. Over the next several months five senior level interns from the Kinesiology Department at CSULB will be here to assist you. They are eager to share their knowledge and experience with you (they’ve each completed nearly 500 internship hours elsewhere and have work experience in the fitness industry) so when you see them around the club go ahead and introduce yourself! Also new at The Belmont is the addition of a multipurpose space above the Racquetball Courts. If you’ve not already discovered Studio C this is another space to utilize for your workouts.

BELMONT INSTRUCTOR AWARDED EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR

Our very own Group Exercise Instructor, Gary Metzker, was named 2013 Educator of the Year. His professional accolades in teaching and journalism are extensive and he’s done it all while teaching classes and not missing a beat at The Belmont for the past 20 years. If you haven’t had the pleasure of catching one of his journalism classes at CSULB you can be his student at The Belmont four mornings a week in Step, Box Bike Bootcamp, X Factor, and one of our most popular classes- Saturday morning  Box Aerobics where you’ll be whipped into shape in no time!

KEEP YOUR GOALS ALIVE THIS VALENTINE’S DAY

January has come and gone but there is still plenty of time to set new goals for the year or pick up where you left off last year. The only failure is in not starting. Show  yourself some love this Valentine’s Day by taking the time to decide what it is you really want for yourself this year. Then take a little more time to create an action plan, gather your resources, enlist some accountability partners, and go for it! Your body will thank you and you’ll likely notice other areas of your life fall beautifully into place when you’ve given yourself the gift of a fit, healthy, strong body. Contact a Personal Trainer if you’d like a kick-start. Training Packages & Gift Cards are available for you and your loved ones.
